This is a high adventure business that offers the fly fisherman a unique insight to catching large Biscayne Bay bonefish. The higher your skill level the better the odds. Every single day on the water is different. Some days are better than others. There are NO guarantees. Do your homework on quick and accurate casting so you can maximize your time and potential on the water. It is too late once the tails pop up and you can’t deliver the fly. Even on successful days there will be times when patience will be required. Basically it could take a few hours of stalking or waiting on the tides. I also will hide up in the mangroves for hours a day during thunder storms and go immediately back out after it passes. I go by my gut feeling on these occasions. Sometimes the fish just don't cooperate. Being a fly fisherman you will get rejected sometimes even when everything seems right. Don’t take this personally. It happens to everybody. I only promise to show you everything I can to help you and go about it just as if I were the one doing the fishing and put you in my shoes. The opportunity is certainly there. There have been only a handful of days over the last few years that I didn't get at least a good shot. For the most part one can expect several decent shots per session. On a great day it seems endless. As with most fishing it’s a gamble. Are you in? |
