Cordell Baum
My name is Cordell Baum Jr. I will be your guide when fishing with “BONEFISH WHISPERER”   I am the 8th generation and direct descendant of  Abraham & Appolonia Baum, the original Baum family that immigrated to the Outer Banks of North Carolina from Germany in the late 1600′s…from the Civil War through today many are Captains, ship builders and old school lifelong commercial fisherman. I personally have been fishing hard as possible since before I can remember. During the summer of my 10th year we moved to Alaska. This is where I became involved with flyfishing when I was 12 years old. I moved back to Cape Hatterras in the early 80’s and became an electrician while renewing my saltwater fishing. I would surf fish, pier fish and even wade the Pamlico Sound until the early 90’s. This is when I moved back to Alaska. This is also when I devoted myself solely to flyfishing.

I started coming to Miami in 2003 and began the groundwork to learn a completely new eco-system and start from scratch on everything. I have systematically figured out the secrets to unlocking the potential in the waters right here in Miami just minutes from the urban skyline. I have spent over 1000 days on the water here now and in the same exact area and know it completely. I have developed my own custom flies that cover all species with unparalleled success.
